CTP Solar - Project Performing Above Expectations

September 7, 2009

At the end of 2008 the CTP Solar Project was started in the company’s main headquarters CTPark Humpolec. After half a year the initial results have come in, the solar power station is working without any problem and over the last four months the output of electricity has been above expectations. Around September 2009 we would like to place solar panels on additional buildings in other CTParks. The overall idea is to install solar panels on another 18 CTP buildings with 10MV as a current total.
CTP will be managing all of the materials, research and details to accomplish this project. Funding for the Solar Project comes from various banks. To look on the project more generally - CTP wants to behave ecologically, help the environment of the Czech Republic and become a global producer of green power. This will allow CTP to be on the cusp of the increasingly vital issue of energy savings.

Global and European energy market
The growth of energy consumption and eco-political requirements will lead to significant growth of energy production from renewable energy sources on a medium to long-term basis.
In 2010 the EU is predicted to achieve at least a 19% share of renewable energy of total electricity consumption and it is expected that by 2020 renewable electricity output will increase in the EU above 1.100 TWh/year. The Czech Republic still has to close an 8% gap in order to reach these envisaged targets.

CTP Solar Project
CTP operates with a full CTPark Network of business space in the CEE. EU initiatives to increase the capacity of renewable energy sources have led the Czech government to adopt attractive incentive schemes for the set up of renewable energy generation. CTP intends to install photovoltaic systems in its business parks in the Czech Republic, with power facilities being set up on the roofs of 18 properties, allowing for a total capacity of up to 10 MW in our first phase.
Brno is one of the specific CTP locations offering the highest degree of irradiation compared to other locations such as Humpolec or Jihlava. On average, radiation adds up to 3,302 Wh per m2 per day in Brno, meaning that a photovoltaic plant in and around the city will produce more electricity here. CTP has the opportunity to unlock additional revenue streams. The mid-term rationale is to transfer the solar project vehicles into a
“Solar Fund”.
